If I suffer from several personality disorders should I go see a mental therapist?

I am still in high school
disorders include being avoidant, narcissistic, paranoid, obsessive-compulsive, and histrionic

If you are worried about your health - mental or otherwise - it is a good thing to see a doctor.

It is quite common for people, especially people in their teens, to believe that they are suffering from mental or social illnesses. The worry generated by their self-diagnosis is usually much more debilitating and damaging than the supposed illness.

One or two talks with a sympathetic doctor will very likely set your mind at rest and allow you to live a happy and normal life.

Yes absolutely. I suffer from many myself. It will help alot just to talk with someone. Also there are many medications that could also help you

Well, if you think you have it , then go for it! There's nothing wrong with seeking help.

first of all: who diagnosed you? that person should have developed a treatment plan and discussed this with you. Definitely, you do need to see a therapist.

I am going to ask you to please see someone now while you are young so you can get a handle on this now. It is a BLESSING that you recognize the is something going on with your physic and want help. I was with BI-Polar 40 yrs before getting real help. Prayer changes things. Never give up. If one wont help try someone else. The will try to tell you it's growing pains like they told my son. He had to go through the NAVY phys co ward before he accepted that the DR'S> were wrong when he was a kid and I was right. Seek help and if the meds don't work ask them to try something else. Explain that you are not a drug head but you only want to get the right treatment to help you maximize your life.
LOVE YOURSELF
GOD BLESS

A personality disorder isn't diagnosed until after the age of 21. You have patterns of behavior that are troubling you. Seek professional help - it's something you can change. While you are working on yourself, you will become wiser, calmer, more present and compassionate with yourself and others. Also, over time, you will be a better person in whatever job you take, and a better partner and parent if you go that route. It's worth your time to focus on shifting things inside to fit you better. You have everything to gain.

Hey, you sound like a teenager to me!! If you are worried about any elements of your personality, that you feel are taking control of you, then absolutely go & talk to someone. The earlier you address these things in life, the better off you'll be later. Please don't stress yourself about it too much though. Go see someone who knows their stuff, and they can tell you if there is anything that needs some work - you might find out that some of what you are worried about is simply what normal teenagers go through!
