Which Dialysis Method Is Better?

Hemodialysis? Peritoneal? Looking for individuals who are on these that can guide to to making a decision with my 19 year old son. He's at ESRD and needs to do dialysis.

This depends on how involved you/he want to be in his dialysis. Hemodialysis is where he has to go to the clinic and spend hours hooked up to a machine, usually 1-3 days/week. Peritoneal dialysis can be done at home. I'm not sure on much else, as I'm not very familiar with peritoneal dialysis.
Here is a great website for you to visit: http://www.kidney.org/atoz/atozItem.cfm?...
Good luck to both of you, hope this helps.
