What is life expectancy for someone on peritoneal dialysis if only at 8% kidney function with machine? Someone on peritoneal dialysis can live for a few years and save off total renal failure. But at best, this form of dialysis only staves off the inevitable and a kidney transplant should be considered. Eventually the body's toxicity will begin to climb back up. |
