Can you tell me the CPT code for ABI (ankle brachial index) procedure? And diagnostic code for "Normal"? |
This is a vascular screening for PAD (peripheral arterial disease) to detect atherosclerotic plaque buildup of arteries supplying lower extremities. You might seek help from your insurance company. As their consumer, they should be most interested in helping you. They can tell you which codes they pay on and which ones they don't. If you tell them that the provider has been unresponsive in your case, they might want to re-evaluate their participation with that provider, and possibly drop them from the provider list. Believe me, your provider doesn't want to get dropped by an insurance company, because they are not just losing you, but other people that have your insurance. Some doctor's rely on insurance companies to send patients their way, and if they're not doing their job by billing your visit as a courtesy to you, then the insurance company would like to know and investigate. |
