Periodontal disease? |
okay so today i went to the dentist and he told me that i have to go get a deep cleaning done. but my Periodontal disease is not very bad. my question is what will they do for deep cleaning? and do they do shots? btw im 14. yes i know thats a young age ): Basically what they will do is take their instruments and get the plaque that is under your gums. They also can use an instrument called a "cavitron" this shoots water out of the end and some rdh's like to use these. If you need to be numb remember that, that's a huge area to be numb at one time. You will have to go back in a few weeks for the other quad. You will be considered a perio patient so you will be one a 3 month recall for cleaning. You have a gum decease you need to do this. Good Luck! |
