Severe Periodontal Disease?

My Husband has very severe periodontal disease and we don't have dental insurance the cost to fix this out of pocket is going to be thousands of dollars. We can't get a credit card and all fincancing options available through dental offices is a credit card. We don't have any family that can co-sign for us either. Does anybody have any other options for us?

We have contacted all the dental schools in our area and none of them handle his type of condtion

Wow, it's only going to cost a thousand bucks? I know that is a lot of money, but at the same time, doesn't seem like very much for severe peridontal disease.

I am sorry about your inability to get help. Maybe call around to different dentists, and ask if any of them take payment plans, not through credit card. Iknow that will be a hard task, as many of them do use credit cards.

I wish you guys the best of luck.

Try going to a Dental School. Their cost is usually 50 % less than a regular dentist. You are seen by a student dentist but trust me, you actually get better care there than a regular dentist beccause the students work is checked over by his professor. Good luck !

Best is dental school like the poster said above. We use to sit there all day until they took us in. Sometimes free (extractions) to very low cost. Look one up online and walk in or call them up. It's hard to set up an appt online so best to walk in. Also, some dental offices offer payment plans. Some take checks or walk-in cash. I did that for 4 years for my braces. Good luck!
