Can the damage from mild periodontal disease be reversed? |

It's not going to get better by itself or just with vitamins. Having recovered from a good amount of periodontal disease - including bleeding gums, bad breath, I can say 'yes'. (My wife is my dentist as well and she monitors them regularly). I have severe periodontal disease, with 3 of my teeth very loose. My dentist advised that with regular scaling, and some medication, there is hope that the condition could be reveresed, though my gum will probably not regain 100% elasticity! |
