I was diagnosed with the start of periodontal disease. periodontist recommend i get an oral b and floss.? |
he told me to angle the brush into my gums but when i went to the dentist they told me my gums are prone to recession and i should brush my bottom teeth up to "push" the gum up in the opposite direction of recession and brush my top teeth in the downward angle. who's right and why? The periodontist is correct. You need to brush this way to get the tips of the bristles UNDER your gums. If you brush up, the bristle tips will just jump right over the most important places. beware! You need to brush your gums. Here's the best way to do it. Buy a power toothbrush. Over lap the bristles on the gums, make sure it's soft bristle, if it isn't run under hot water first. Brush for 2 mins, inside and out 2x a day. Floss, have the hygienist show you how. Use a water pik-put 1/3 Listerine to the rest water and do this once a day. Periodontal disease is related big time to heart attacks and stroke! Take care I am using this product and it is fabulous! Check it out! I am so glad that it did. Two loose teeth almost back to normal, bleeding gums, not anymore and deep pockets that have shrunk down to 2's from 8 - 10's. http://www.oramd.com?kbid=2141 |
