What is the best way to get rid of periodontal disease?

Without going to the dentist?

If the condition is mild, flossing and brushing regularly will help. But you need to see a dental hygienist and get a good deep cleaning, even in mild cases, in order to keep it from getting worse. When it gets real bad you might need a real aggressive cleaning called root planing, or antibiotics, or sometimes surgery.

Periodontal disease is caused when dental plaque (the junky stuff that you can't easily brush away between the teeth and down near the roots) gets hard. It provides a safe place for bacteria to breed. The constant inflammation from the tartar and bacteria cause the gums to bleed, swell, and eventually to retract, and then the teeth get loose and fall out. The constant inflammation also may affect the heart and accelerate atherosclerosis (the build up of cholesterol in the blood vessels).

So better a little bit of discomfort now if you want to keep your teeth healthy.

Unfortunately there is no way to et rid of periodontal disease without a visit to a dental professional. It can be treated by either a dentist or a periodontist, but there is no way to replace receding gum tissue without surgery.

My mother's gums were inflamed and she swished peroxide in her mouth once in the morning and once in the evening. It worked great. Try it for a while and see what happens. Good luck!

Buy hydrogen peroxide. Read directions on bottle. You dilute it in half with water. It is a 3% solution so you dilute it to 1 and a half %. This kills that bacteria (rinsing mouth with it for a whole minute-- 3 times a day). A 95% hydrogen peroxide solution is used as rocket fuel.

To stop the cause improve your diet. See below site for this. The same foods that help you lose weight are good for health.

What my denitst told me to do ( this was years ago) was to brush my teeth and gums really, really good. Then I was swish Hydrogen Peroxide in my mouth for a couple of minutes and spit it out. Rinse with water afterwards really well, and DON'T swallow any of the Hydrogen Peroxide. Do that two or three times a day. It cleared up
