Is anyone out there having mood swings due to perimenopause??? |
I'm 39 and the mood swings are getting awful, laughing hysterically one minute and bawling uncontrollably the next..friends are saying perimenopause,,I'm thinking manic freakout.....Anyone out there having the same problems?? I use to suffer from that too. I am 51. Go to womentowomen.com. You won't be sorry. yeah don't worry moodswings are normal for everyone. it's just emotions / hormones / genetics / neurotransmitters in the brain - take your pick. Hormones may be an underlying cause. However, so could depression. If your mood swings are as drastic as you state, seek help from a mental/behavioral health care facility. I thought I was going nuts, and I was. Now I have antidepressants and all is smooth sailing. Folks are too quick to blame a female's cycle for all her woes, so too many women waste their lives being miserable when they could have been at ease with the world. I have never heard of perimenopause. But, hey, I have been like that for the past 5 years. When you think about it, you can realise the underline problem of why it is happening. Mine was I moved away (6hrs) and never had my kids with me. They decided to stay with their dad (they weren't that young, 15, 18 & 21) It took a while to work it out. I still am like it but not as bad. When things don't go right, I always blame myself. I hope you're not like that. |
