Only for older women - Perimenopause - Help please?

I am getting my regular period for 7 days and 3 or 4 days after that my period starts up again for another 7 days (without warning). Tried vitamins for menopause but then my period won't start at all - just spotting until I stop the vitamins. Anyone else going through perimenopause - I'm 47.

I am 46 and in that stage, and my sis is 44 and further along than me, mostly because I had my last child when i was 42 so that delayed me some. Our doc--a very good one--wanted to put us on hormones. My sis had to, she had heavy bleeding and problems like yours. Me, i said i would rather go the natural way and wing it...no hormones, but the time between is getting shorter. A physical is great, because the doc can rule out other problems and help you decide what is best for your situation.

enzymatic therapy has a product specifically for perimenopause...works great...check with your local health food store...my customers are raving

since every bodies bodies are different, It will be different with everyone, check with your gyn.

Your fine if your period don't start at all. It's going to stop soon anyway. I had a much easier time, I just stopped having them. I'm a bit younger than you. I'd keep taking the vitamins. Good luck to you. have you talked to your doctor? I had the lab work done that confirmed I was in menopause/perimenopause.
I would definately take the vitamins.

My doc. said it's not safe to take the hormones if you have any family members with cancer. She was very sincere on this issue.
