Anger from perimenopause? |
I am 43 and have been noticing I feel huge anger (rage) like I hate my husband during my period. I don't feel that way the rest of the month. We are going through a lot of stress and fight more now so I could be angrier than usual. The stress will reduce at some point as it is only related to him finishing up a 20-year career in a hazardous duty job (retiring) and both of us searching for new jobs at the same time. Oh - big factor...I am on the pill for my mood and have been for a number of years so I do not see any differences with my period and have no other real symptoms (like hot flashes) but emotionally I feel like I am going to lose it about two weeks a month now (week before and week of my period). Is this rage normal? How can I keep it under control (natural/herbs?) so we don't divorce before we hit our 20-year anniversary next year LOL? I have found that taking B6 in either a bottle by itself or as part of B Complex has been very helpful to my mood around the time of my period. I would also recommend checking with your doctor to see what else they think could be going on. |
