Does anyone know if hormones would make psoriasis worse? I am perimenopause. If so, what can I do for it? Ha ha! I have the exact same problem. I use H.R.T. for night sweats and No, it does not take away psoriasis. But I also use Prednisone for pain of Arthritis and It Does take away psoriasis. Ask your doctor about it. I only take 5 mg. a day which is a relatively low dose. It's an excellent drug. Many women are peri-menopause. I started when I was 38 and am now 51. I take Prednisone for Arthritis and it helps with my Psoriasis and allergies. It's a good drug used for many different things; Irritable Bowel Syndrome and Chron's disease. Be careful what you eat though. Report It yes it makes it worse. You need medication to fight it. Basically, you need medication to make your body strong and to fight psoriasis. I remember when i use to have hormone problems, I would have all sort of rashes, etc. See a doctor is my best advice. Psoriasis is usually caused by sluggish organs of elimination (and undiagnosed food allergies to things like wheat and dairy), and of course the consumption of non-foods like hydrogenated oils, excessive omega 6 fatty acids, irradiated and genetically modified foods, etc. This is why those who go through intensive liver and bowel cleaning often clear up rapidly. Excessive hormones - or hormones the liver can't clear effectively - will worsen the situation. yes it can make it worse, any changes in your body, stress, illness, hormones, meds, etc can irritate things and make more breakouts and spreading. |
