I am 41 and haven't had a period in 5 mos. Dr says I'm perimenopause. Am I too young to start that? No, I started the premenopausal state at age 36, hot flashes, irregular cycles, 3 to 6 month intervals, and all, so you're not too young. The bad news is that I'm 48 now and still going through it (AAARRRGGGHHHH!). Be aware that severe stress, emotional or physical, can greatly affect your cycle and cause you to be amenorrheal (no menstruation) for long periods of time. Also be aware that this is a tricky time and you can still get pregnant, so take care. No, you're not too young. Your Dr. told you right! It's "Pre" menopause honey. You're not menopausing yet, it's just the early stages of it. A few hot flashes here and there, no harm done though. i was 32 when that happened to me...............join the gang...hhaha! I know it sucks but it is life. Good luck to you. Not necessarily. Every woman is different. My mother is 46 and recently stopped her period for 3 months. Her doctor told her that until she stops her period for 12 months, she is considered to be pre-menopausal. never too young .bee going through for about 8 years,i am 44or 45 with ab-day on the way. |
