Cycles getting shorter?

I had a baby last December and did not breastfeed. My cycles restarted April 29th. I have been tracking them since then, and they are getting shorter--from 29 days between April/May to 23 days between October/November. Is this just normal hormonal fluctuation (which I thought would have leveled off by now, or is it a sign of perimenopause (I'm 38), or is there something else going on? After I had my first baby (he's 3 1/2), things went right back to the normal 27-29 day cycle, but this is just weird.

It could be perimenopause, or it could just be a hormonal imbalance. Are you concerned b/c you want to TTC again? This is just my personal opinion, but if so I would recommend seeing a Chinese Medicine doctor who can give you herbs and do acupuncture. I would also start eating all organic and doing wheatgrass shots every day. That should help to get your hormones back on track!
