Yes,I have had the mother of stomach ulcers.I had a Duodenal Ulcer,really bad, it was bleeding and the pain was very severe.Like you it came on with regularity at 3am,every night,it also came on between meals regularly.
My GP prescribed a drug called Zantac 300 mg. which stopped it almost over night.You can only buy this Zantac with 75mg over the counter,but even at that strength they are pretty effective.
You will need to return to your GP because it needs to be investigated to see what is causing it.Recent research revealed that a Bacteria called Helicobactor causes most stomach ulcers.I had a Gastrophy as an outpatient in hospital which revealed that I had helicobactor,hence the ulcer.
A Gastrophy is not as bad as it sounds,I remained fully awake and it was OK.They freeze your throat and you swallow the endoscope and they can have a look.The procedure is not painful at all, just a little uncomfortable.I was then put on a cocktail of antibiotics which killed the bug and I have not had any trouble since.
Please go and see your Doc because it will only get worse and the medics can heal it.Hope you feel better soon.

yep..i have. he should have given you some meds for it. If not go back and get some..if you dont get any your risk a purferated ulcer.
yes it hurts. Mine was caused by food in a resturant. Have blood work done to rule out an enzime. Your doctor will now..i cant think of the name..but i was poss and put on an antibiotic, and some acid reducers. It works too.
