DO u have for peptic ulcer disease? How do u care for it? |
I have recently been diagnosed with ulcers. Those who have them or know about them, do you have any useful pointers on how I should care for them? Please see the webpages for more details on Peptic ulcer. One thing that I have found useful is to not eat spicy foods when I can feel that my ulcers are "acting up". I also work on stress relievers as stress can lead to ulcers. I know that I was put on a very strict diet for awhile (no spices, no citrus foods, no salt, no ketchup, etc...), so you might want to talk to a doctor about what you should or should not eat. Good luck, ulcers suck but people live with them every day. The doctor will probably prescribe a medication such as Zantac, Nexium or Prevacid. Be sure to take it as directed. It would be good to limit your intake of acid foods that you know bother you. Also limit carbonated drinks and as much caffeine as possible. Feel better soon. RECIPE: -avoid spicy food. |
