I have been diagnosed with a peptic ulcer Sept. 6 I started on Prevpac. Im through with that treatment now.?

Its been almost 4 weeks now and I still have stomach aches after eating and just get them for no reason at all. Just wondering if this is normal so far into treatment. Right now I am on Prevacid. Thanks.

i've had ulcers in my duodenum since i was 15, I'm 25 now. I tried several different medicines, including Prevacid and nothing worked for me. Finally I had to go on a very high dosage of a medicine called Axid. It was the only thing that helped. I was on it for 4 years and stopped taking medicine all together. I am a lot better now. I think the Prevacid should have started helping by now, and if it hasn't then your doctor might want to switch your prescriptions. good luck to you!
