What are the nursing interventions that a nurse should do for patients with peptic ulcer disease?

Eliminate use of NSAIDs & smoking
Well-balanced diet with meals @ regular intervals. Avoid dietary irritants.
Monitor I&Os, stool for blood, H&H & lytes
Explain all tests & procedures to increase knowledge and cooperation.
Wath for signs and symptons of impaired skin integrity around anus to promote comfort and decrease infection.

A nurse in a hospital is going to Administer medications that the doctor has ordered for the patient. If this is private nursing again the nurse will administer the drugs the doctor has prescribed and will monitor the patients diet, which is critical in a peptic ulcer. The diet has to be no fat, soft foods that will digest easily. A baked potato, potato soup, chicken, turkey, oatmeal, white rice, yogurt and milk.
