Tissue at end of my penis.?

I am 15. I am confused because surrounding the hole or slit at the tip of my head which i pee through, there is a small patch (about .5 of a cm wide or less) of red tissue, softer than the glans, and slightly red and elevated. I have done some research and it does not seem to fit the symptoms of any disorders ihave read about, and it dos not hurt, or ich in any way. The only thing which really makes it a problem is that it looks kinda embarasing (im glad im uncircumcised so it does not normally show). Still being in a sports team and showering wiht other boys, I have never seen this on anyone else i know. Is this a normal variation or somthing bad? Oh one more thing, I masturbate a lot.

I guess you know what a lot of people will say ... if you really want to be sure get it checked by a doctor - although at 15 it probably the last thing you really feel like doing!

It sounds - but don't take this as gospel - like the small ridge that surrounds the meatus - the opening of the penis where urine and semen comes from. If you have been giving your dick a bit of a bashing (UK-speak for jerking off) then it can become a bit red - and possible sore. But as I said at the start, if you are concerned go to the doc ....

YOUR COMPLETELY NORMAL. I HAVE A VERY SIMILAR PIECE OF EXTRA FLESH THERE TOO. I HAVE SEEN IT IN OTHERS TOO.
