Pelvic && abdomen ultrasoundddd? |
heyy i'm 15 and tomorrow i am getting a pelvic && abdominal ultrasound...i was just wondering what happens in both. i've had a "stomach" ultrasound before, but i never had a pelvic one. is it the same? or do they do anything different? With the abdominal part of the ultrasound the technician will put a special wand on your abdomen (over the area around where the bladder and your reproductive organs) are after applying some gel (it will feel a bit warm or cool depending on the temperature in the room) that then causes pictures to show up on the screen (and they will be able to see your bladder because of having had to drink a lot of water unless given other instructions). |
