Pelvic Pain for over 2 years.?

I've had pelvic pain for over 2 years now. It isn't menstual cramps, ovarian cysts or an IBS issue. The doctors can't find anything. I've had a colonoscopy and a CT scan. The only thing they can think it is, is injured muscles on my pelvic floor knotting up. The pain is constant and ranges from nagging/annoying to downright excruciating. It is usually worst on the left side, but it happens on both. Oh and I am 23 years old. Any advice would be appreciated, I would also like to hear from others with this problem on how you deal with it and what has worked for you. Thanks!

Sometimes when we develope Endometrosis it is very hard to spot and diagnose. You only need a small amount of endometrium which bleeds when you have a period, although it's OUTSIDE the uteruise, causing intense pain.
Having only a very small amount to detect makes it even harder to see and diagnose. It can also hide in little pockets like behind the bowel or bladder and such making it difficult to see.
The easiest way to get a deffinative diagnosis of this condition is organise a Laproscopy, a surgical diagnosit test, at the time of your WORST pain as the endo will usually be seen as it get's inflammed and engorged causing increased pain.
i suffered from it for years. No test, x-ray, cat scan or anything could give an answer. Then I just happened to be lucky and have a Laproscopy scheduled at the time of my worst pain. Bingo! I had my answer.
It was such a relief.

Pilate's, you need to go somewhere to learn the basics of muscles, posture, breathing. Pelvic Floor Muscle do knot and you need to learn how to exercise them correctly, in line with the other muscles of the core, or corset. Therefore see a Physiotherapist and ask to learn about Pilate's. Best of Luck
I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and prolapsed disc, did Pilate's for one hour a week, for nine months and it really has helped me with muscle, joint and posture problems. It took me four weeks to find my pelvic floor muscles!

I am 20 yrs old...I have also had pain for about a year and a half and kept going to the doctor they kept telling me I had a uti or kidney infection, they did all sorts of test even took out my gallbladder...nothing helped until I scheduled a laproscopic test for endometriosis. which was 2 weeks ago today and I found out that day that I have endometriosis. This surgery was not bad at all basically some soreness like you exercised your abs too much. Endometriosis is a very painful condition. Some days its just annoying pains and sometimes it is horrible and I just ball up in pain. There is no other way to get a sure answer as to if you have this than to have the scope surgery test done. I had cat scans, ultrasounds, gallbladder out, etc. and then finally had this done and was in a stage 3 which is pretty bad so you should talk to your gyno about possible endometriosis because you sound just like I did except the worst of my pain was the right side. Hope this is helpful. You can also check out these websites.
