Pelvic exams?

Just wondering, do you have to be a certain age to have a pelvic exam, because they say you should start having them once you become sexually active. But the legal age to have sex in my country is 16, so would you be able to go for a pelvic exam if you're under the age of 16, and can you make appointments confidentially if you're 15?

I live in England.

You can have a pelvic exam whenever you want to as long as your parents consent.

what country? I don't want to tell you to make an appointment if you are going to be stoned to death for it.
