Lower right pelvic pain, what is it?

I have lower right pelvic pain that radiate into my groin. It feels like contant numbing, and every so often it sqeezes and the pain worsens. I went into the dr.'s office and he wants me to go in for pelvic ultrasound. Of course i have to go to th hopital for this, and they do not have an opening until 2 week from now. Is it safe to wait that long? What should do?

Right lower quadrant pain is not something that you should wait 2 weeks before being seen! Is the pain worse when walking or riding in a car, over a bumpy road? If so, this might be an indication of appendicitis. If this is the case, please go to an ER ASAP. You do not want a ruptured appendix.

Take care, and get better!

I would insist that your md office calls to get you in sooner. Better to be safe in this type of situation.

I work CAT scan. When I think of right lower pelvic pain, a myriad of things come to mind. Well for starters, your appendix are located in your right lower quadrant. Are they inflammed? Dunno. A CT scan would most definitely tell or an ultra sound. Another concern could be an intestinal obstruction, or a torsion of the right testicle, right inguinal hernia, blah, blah I could go on and on. Oreo said it best. Go to the E.R. ASAP! At any rate good luck.

I don't know where you live but I would find out if there is another place in town that can do a pelvic ultrasound a lot sooner. Whatever is causing this pain to worsen could be something serious, and I think that two weeks is too long to wait to try and figure out what is going on. I would recommend going to the Emergency Room to have them evaluate the situation because of the pain being the way it is.

It could be a urinary track infection. Definitely check it out.
