Pelvic pain? Should I go to the hospital? |
I have been having pretty severe pelvic pain for about a week now. It has gotten worse the past two days. It is a sharp, consistent pain in my groin, as well as pain down my sides. Does this warrant a trip to the hospital? Make a doctors appt immediately. Tell them your symptoms and if they think it's serious, they might recommend that you go to the hospital. Don't let this go and don't let your doctors act like it's not a big deal. Do some research on PID (Pelvic Immflamatory Disease) and see if you're having any other symptoms. If you're having more than one of those symptoms you need to be checked out ASAP!!! PID is very serious and can cause infertility. Good luck and I hope it's nothing serious. Probably ovarian cysts. Go to your OB/GYN, but if it gets too severe, go to the emergency room right away as the cyst could be rupturing. The first time I had severe pelvic pain I went to the emergency room at 2 in the morning because I could not stand the pain any longer. What a surprise when the doctor told me I was pregnant. Don't wait go to the doctor you could have a cyst, an infection, be pregnant or no telling what. But I wouldn't just wait for it to go away. |
