Y is it that u r in pediatrics until u r 17 but child medicine stops at age 12 and then there's adult medicine

Because medication is dispensed according to weight. Even at 12 years old, someone could be the same as someone 25 when it comes to their weight.

You don't have to stay in pediatrics until you're 17. There's no law that says you have to.

I started seeing a regular family doctor at 12 when I was younger.

"Child medicine" does not stop at age 12. That is wrong. It stops when you turn 18. That is when you can no longer see the pediatrician.

Because you body changes and you aren't a child anymore. Your body has different needs and shows different illnesses.

It really IS ironic. I guess the system is screwed up (surly that isn't a surprise?!)
