Medical colleges? |
So say i want to be a doctor, it doesnt matter if its a D.O. or an M.D. to me, and i want to specialize in pediatrics. What do i have to do?, I know 4 years pre-med, then 4 years of med, but then how long for pedriatics?, and can i be a D.O. and still specialize in pediatrics?, Also when ur in residency, do u attain a salary?...i got many questions...lol, one or 2 more......is there a "compressed way" to do it say somehow do my pre med in 2 or 3 instead of 4, last question, What is a good pre-med and med school in Pennsylvania? Allegheny College (small private college in Meadville, PA) has a pretty good pre-med program. It's really expensive though, so I'd recommend getting a lot of scholarships if you can. Also, the University of Pittsburgh has a really good medical school, so maybe their undergrad program is good for pre-med. And one more piece of advice. If you're worrying now about salaries and trying to compress your studies down, you might want to rethink med school. It's really really hard work, and once you become an intern and resident, you make very little (compared to the hours you work). So, now is not the time to be trying to do as little work as possible. You might want to be gearing yourself up for about 10 years of working your a$$ off. The U of Pa is excellent. All good questions, too many for just 2 points. yes a DO can specialize in pediatrics. Go to a school that teaches manipulation. |
