How do you search a physician in your area who has specialty in XXX and also happens to be able to speak YYY?

(where XXX is a specialty like pediatrics or cardiology, and YYY is a foreign language like Spanish or Chinese)

In other words, is there any way to search a physician by the language s/he can understand?

I am a member of Blue Cross Blue Sheld HMO of Georgia and they have a physician finder for their members where you can search based on language. I'm not sure what other places have this, but I imagine lots of them do. If you have a HMO, call them or look on their website for help.

If you are looking for a doctor who speaks Spanish or Chinese, look for some who publish in your local Spanish or Chinese publications, or in the publications of the big city closest to you.
