Can I donate blood with a peanut allergy? |
I have a peanut allergy, with very high severity. Will I be allowed to donate blood, or would the complication be passed on through it? Yes you can. When filling out the paperwork, they will ask you about allergies, but peanut allergy does not preclude you from GIVING blood. Currently you can still donate blood if you have severe allergies. However, this may change given the fact that people have suffered severe reactions after receiving blood from an allergic donor. |
