Peanut Allergy No more??

Is it possible to outgrow an anaphylactic allergy to peanuts as one ages?

In general you can "outgrow" an allergy but an anaphylactic reaction to peanuts is rarely outgrown. Sometimes after avoiding the allergen for a long period of time will allow your body to tolerate a substance better but it is still an allergy and dangerous.

Follow the advice of the posters above and don't attempt to eat any product containing peanuts without a professional there. Your doctor or allergist will be able to tell you if you have truly "outgrown" it.

Your life is much more valuable then eating peanut butter!

Its possible. I would see your doctor about getting another allergy test done.

yes, it is possible. you need to see an allergist to have a test done BEFORE you have that double-decker PB&J, juuuuust in case your tolerance is merely getting higher.

I know some children can outgrow allergies such as cats, dust, etc but I think the peanut one can either stay the same or get worse but I'm not entirely sure

I think it gets WORSE instead of better.
Please don't reproduce & pass that defect on.
