Has anyone experience plane travel with a serious peanut allergy?

Just curious because I have really a bad peanut allergy and sometimes the smell can provoke a bit of a reaction depends on the exposure. I think I will be fine to fly but just curious if anyone has flown and it has been fine or if they had any problems what were they? thanks

a lot of airlines have actually banned peanuts at this point. just tell that to the airline when you book your flight (usually they ask for any specific diets, like vegetarians or picky children) and you'll be fine. have fun!!

i went on a flight where they announced that no nut products were to be served on the flight due to a member of the passengers having a severe nut allergy - they might do the same for you!
