Peanut Allergy lunch options..?

I have a 2 year old. Americas favorite sandwich is PB&J or PB & Bananas.. I need some ideas for lunch sandwiches for my girl that is severly allergic to Peanuts..

First, there are some non-peanut nut butters. They can use things like cashews, macademia, almonds, hazelnuts and soy. I remember a sunflower butter called Sunbutter that was pretty good and committed to being peanut-free. You will, of course, have to check and make sure that whatever you get has no peanuts and that your daughter is able to have those nuts/ingredients, but options do exist (and some taste better than I remember peanut butter tasting).

As far as other sandwiches, you could do jelly, cheese, meat products of some sort (although I don't eat sammich meats and I'm not sure if a little one would like them either), vegetable (tomato and cheese is good), tuna, banana and maple syrup, etc. There are tons of sandwich types out there.

Also, you can go beyond sandwiches. I used to take leftovers to school, or quesadillas (tortilla in frying pan, add cheese, fold tortilla, cook till cheese has melted - these keep fairly well in a lunch box and aren't bad cold), or all sorts of things that I can't remember off the top of my head.

The real problem you'll face isn't the main part of the lunch (ie, the sandwich), but the snacks. I'd say the majority of non-junk snack foods have some form of peanuts in them, and it's hard to tell what's safe to eat and what's not.
