I have a peanut allergy do i have it for life?

i also have shellfish allergy too
so i have to avoid thai and anything bivalve as well.

Probably be best to ask a doctor in person instead of asking smart alecs on the net or those who think they know the answer but might not really know the answer. Just some advice. Good luck and good health!

I think you're stuck with it.

im srry bout dat but im not sure maybe it deppens how bad it is ask ur doctor maybe he nos i hope u get better

Just peanuts and shellfish. You don't have to exclude whole ethnic food groups. There is lots of Thai food that doesn't contain peanuts/peanut sauces or shellfish. Lots of foods like that all over. Yes, you will have the allergies for life.

it is for life, i have a friend who is allergic to peanut, pollen , penicillin and some other things and she has to take medicine every other season, she is not allowed to eat peanuts so i think the same applies to you

sometime some allergies come and go. there's no way to no for sure if you're allergy is gone than to see a doctor.

yes ,but may be sometime it will end

As for the peanut allergy my brother grew out of it when he was about 7. The doctors called it a near miracle even though it wasn't a life-or-death chance. I don't know about the shellfish or that other thing i haven't heard of but getting rid of a peanut allergy is pretty rare... good luck to you anyway.... i hear that there are new break throughs in science that may allow people to grow out of their allergies or something like that... i don't remember where i read that though, it may be fake, still, good luck! Be sure to ask you allergist doctor to know for sure, it would be pretty bad to eat shellfish or something and then have a reaction.

I know a number of people with peanut and/or shellfish allergies, and all of them seem to have gotten worse each time that they have had a reaction.

Get checked out by an allergiest every few years. You never know what the future will bring.
