Peanut butter allergy.....?

2 hours ago, I asked a question titled "Babies and peanut butter" I had some good responses but I have another question. After you give peanut butter, how long till the allergic reaction happens? My daughter got red flushed cheeks an hours after but that was at 2:00 this afternoon. It is now close to 7:00 and she has flushed cheeks still but what I want to know is-is that all she is going to have or can other reactions still happen? Please, serious answers only. This is my daughter I am asking about.

Just like with medication if she hasn't had symptoms of antifalactic shoch she will probably be allright, this reaction usually occours within fifteen minutes after injestion. Just make sure her air passage is normal and that her tongue is not swelling If that be the case emergency room ASAP.

Food allergies are the worst watch for breathing problems that should be your biggest concern. Call a 24 hour nurse line and make sure you shouldnt do anything else.

i have a peanut allergy and i found out about it through peanut butter. for me the allergy attack depends on the quantity i intake. if i intake a lot the attack will be within 15 minutes and will usually be an anaphylatic shock (airways close of); my lips will feel numb, and i feel my cheeks swelling, and my airways close of. however, if i have a very little amnt. usually the reaction is getting a headach, the flushed cheeks; etc... its hard to tell with an infant, because they can't tell u what's happening. what i suggest is going to a doctor and having an allergy test done. thats what i did and learned that i'm allergic to milk and peanuts. i hope that helps! let me know if you need anything else!
