Does a patient have any rights in decisions about their healthcare anymore? |
Do I have the right to refuse novocaine for dental work? To refuse an epidural during labor? To refuse sedation during an endoscopy or colonoscopy? Well, it could be that they are afraid that u do not have the pain tolerance u say u have.. And to do the procedure right and not to keep you in so much pain so long they try to give you something that will help. If u do not want to take the meds that will sedate u ask for something less potent. Like Vicodin for pain or maybe just lidocaine to numb certain areas. I have alot of experience knowing that people are not comfortable with being sedated due to all the stories. So if u don't trust the person you are going to ... Get someone u DO!!!! If you're over 18 then you can tell the doctor: No, I don't want it. that's final. |
