Can there be a mistake when a paternity test comes back 97% on a father.? |
my exhusband took a paternity test and it came back 97% It's possible that it's in error. If it was a PCR "buccal swab" test, it's not as accurate as the RFLP blood test. 97% is very high...it rounds off to 100%. Ask the testing facility how to interpret the results. I think these things are still prone to error. (i.e. the paternity test could be wrong, but this is highly unlikely - for every 100 tests taken, only 3 will be wrong). but i'm not exactly sure, so please check. With that high a percentage, it's doubtful, but you can re-test again to make sure it was valid. |
