I just found out I'm the biological father?

Her son is 9 (almost 10). We used to date caually. Back when she told me she was pregnant, she believed the father was someone who "took advantage of her" at a college party.

We parted amicably, I moved away for work and hadn't been in communication for 9 yrs...untill I recieved an email saying her son is curious about his father. Not knowing how to approach the truth as she believed it, and in the interest of being 100% positive I suggested we get a paternity test. The test shows that I am his biological father.

Does anyone have advice on how to tell the child?

well for now, I think it's best to just try to get near, but as the child gets older, maybe you guys can tell the story and hopefully he'll understand so he won't hold any grudges.

well this is a good thing to tell ur son NOT to do and when u said HER son i think you mean ur son
