how long do you have to wait to find out whether or not you are pregnant? Can a paternity test be done while its still a fetus or baby inside of the woman?

As soon as fertilisation takes place. Pregnancy alters a womans blood content because her body imediately adjusts to the new state of body. A blood test will confirm a possible pregnancy even at its earliest stage.
Yes, paternity test can be conducted during the 6th month (around week 25) of pregnancy, but usually doctors advise this procedure be done after the child is delivered. Complications (although very rarely) may occur although this procedure is conducted with great caution by an expert professional.

If you go to a doctor and get a blood test done you can find out immediately. Most HPT only work the day before your period is due or just after a missed period.

As for the paternity test, I believe you would have to wait until the baby is born before you can test.

You can find out you are pregnant as early as the first day you miss your last period. I wouldn't trust any tests before that time frame.
I don't believe you can perform a paternity test during pregnancy, but I could be wrong...let a doctor answer that question for you.

If you had more than one partner since your last period you can look at the calendar and figure out which one you had sex with closest to your ovulation date...which is typically 12-15 days from the start of your last period. So for easy math, if you started your period on July 1st...you are most likely to get pregnant (ovulate) around July 12-15th.

Paternity tests can only happen after the baby is born. And you can take an at home pregnancy test as soon as the first day of your first missed period.
