Patella femoral? |
So I have been to the doctor and got referred to a physical therapist for "patella femoral". I have to tape my knees in a certain way and do these stretches every day. They semi seem to be working, just barely though. I just woke up and I can barely even lift my leg because of the pain. Does anyone know anything that may help with the pain? Sorry to hear about your pain...i agree with taking an over the counter anti-inflammatory such as Advil or Aleve, also try placing an ice bag directly on your knee for 15 mins until the skin goes numb. Hopefully your PT works and you dont end up having to have surgery. Best of luck and feel free to message me if you have any other questions....I treat numerous patients with your diagnosis on a daily basis and most of the time PT works. Advil liquigels are probably the best OTC painkiller out on the market today I have had several injuries/surgeries on my leg and hip. The doctors always gave me a prescription of codeine or Tylenol 3s but i found that any Ibuprofen worked OK. You have to be careful with taking too much medication for pain... most of them are bad for your liver. My ex husband had back surgery and was on pain killers, he ended up with cirrhosis of the liver, he doesn't even drink. |
