Dislocated patella/knee cap?

About 5 Weeks ago, while dancing, my knee cap popped out, so dislocated, however I didn't know that at the time. It was extremely painful, but the patella popped back in immediately. It healed within a couple weeks. This Saturday, while at Rehearsals for my coming show, my patella dislocated again. It's healing quite quickly, but does anyone have any good tips for taping/bracing/healing for my dance show next week? I went to the knee specialist and am getting X-Rays, as well as going to the physiotherapist later this week. I'm also taking ibuprophen to keep the inflammation down as well as lots and lots of icing! Anyone have any suggestions/thoughts? Thanks.

Hey PEOPLE this guy is so determined to get done with what he started he wants someone to wrap sports tape around his knee to hold him together so he can finish what he started.
I really admire your gusto young en.

Every wonder why we get tired? Well?! Think about this....If you suffer an injury, while it is healing, you will feel a bit more tired then usual.

As fit as you are, being a dancer, you will hardly notice it.

At least, until, you suddenly black out from a drop in your stamina that happens so fast you wont even know it until you wake up laying on the floor.

In your routine, if you can't figure a way to stay off the knee completely you can dance until you fall flat on your back.

It's your life!

Try not to tear the ligaments around your patella too.

don't sit with your leg straight down, take the pressure off by streaching your leg out or elevating it. I dislocated mine and was given a bunch of exercises to do for several months, including weight lifting with the leg--your best doc is a sports pro.
