Partial Tear Patella Tendon? |
I had an MRI done concluding that I have a High Grade Partial Tear of my patellar tendon. I rested and did PT for 2 months and it's getting worse. I started playing sports again (tennis/basketball/soccer) and it doesn't hurt much worse. I plan on competing on a college track team this upcoming year in javelin. What are my chances of completely rupturing the tendon if I do the full workouts for 8 months (weights, sprints, throws, etc...)? Okay, I actually have some experience with this. ou need to put your health first, the cances are high...daniel son Well, look at it this way. If you have it fixed with surgery, you run a small risk of not being able to play sports as well as you used to. But if you don't get it fixed, it will rupture, and you'll never play sports again. Get it fixed while you're young and in good shape. |
