What can I do to rehab my torn patella tendon?

I played basketball in high school, until the many injuries to my knees took me out of the sport. I've still got two years left of college & I still want to show everybody that I'm not done. I've got a few excercises that seem to help, but I really want to go all out this time.

First, see your orthopedist and let him or her know that you want to play again.
They can suggest a program of rehab with a physical therapist. Your insurance might even cover this, so ask about alternative treatments too like working with a chiropractor or acupuncturist.
I am a nursing student, and without actually knowing your medical history, the best advice I can give you to begin is to get in a pool.
Swimming is better for joints than walking, has basically no impact, and it will strengthen your muscles and tendons to begin rehabilitation and improve flexibility.

Amputation usually works

u should see a PT

Get ur self a elastic knee bandage as the tendons take time to heal so it will be a supporting measure u must take for stopping re damage take a warm massage with hot water daily at night and use cream volini gel to massage. Also keep up with the exercising and diet. And take caution of re injuring ur knee as it will expand the healing time.

You really need to go see a physical therapist. Activity and range of motion need to be limited for certain amounts of time after a quad tendon repair. By "going all out" right away you could end up causing problems with the knee joint. For example if you do too much before your quads are really strong enough to handle it, a lot of pressure is placed on the quad tendon - causing possible reinjury, tendonitis, or just a slower healing process. Also, when there is swelling in the knee (even just a tiny bit) an important part of the quadriceps muscle can shut down causing the patella do track in an abnormal pattern which can lead to all sorts of other problems. These are just a few of the issues you could run into if you try to rehab this on your own.

There's really not enough information given here for me to give you an indication what you should be doing and I wouldn't be entirely comfortable doing that without having evaluated you anyway. You really do need to go see a physical therapist. I have 3 patients with repaired quad tendon tears right now and every one of them presents very differently. There is no perfect cookie-cutter approach for your therapy - it needs to be tailored specifically for you. You need to talk to your doctor and request a referral for physical therapy. Your insurance should at least cover part of the cost for PT, but even if it doesn't I would still recommend going for at least one treatment session so you can have some skilled guidance here - especially if you want to get back to playing sports.
