and what cells of the body does parkinson disease affect? Parkinson's disease results from loss of dopamine producing cells in the part of the brain called the Substantia Nigra. I have Parkinsons diseade real bad. It affects thebrain.The brain is supposed to make a substance called dopameine,Im not sure Ispelled it correctly.
