Parkinson's disease, urgent !!!? |
15%--25% of the patients of Parkinson's disease inherited from their relatives,my GRANDMOTHER had it at the age of 74 ,then my FATHER has it now at the age of 55, will i inherit the Gene too? Doctor told me that it's more likely: the female passed it to a male, and then a male passed it to a female, which means i won't inherit this disease, right? It doesn't mean you won't inherit it but it doesn't mean you will. Contact the National Parkinson's Foundation (1-800-327-4545; www.parkinson.org). You can find centers specializing in PD near you. I've had PD for 8 yrs - I'm 54. I took part in a PD study for 7 yrs. The drug was finally approved by the FDA and my PD remains stable. I work full-time. Good luck! Report It if it is on the X chromosome, you will not get it from your father. you got his Y chromosome. |
