Help - Do we have cure for Parkinson Disease?

as far as i know there is , unfortunately, no sure cure of this desease in any system of therapy.however, its intensity and aggravation can be controlled by modern medicines under the guidance of an expert doctor. a few months ago i had come across an advertisement by apollo hospital new delhi according to which they have succeeded in certain cases by adopting a special method.

No but there are management skills so that it is controlled.

No.

Some drugs can help but for short time only, see a good doctor he/she can explain. Trick is to use it very sparingly and not get immune to the drugs.

Medtronics, the well known US biomedical devices company has come up with a Deep Brain Stimulation Therapy that has shown dramatic results in applicable cases.

I have seen a video of an industrialist with extreme tremors getting rid of them completely within seconds of the device being activated.

Basically it is a pace maker like device implanted in the body with electrodes located by stereotaxy in the appropriate spots in the brain connected to it. An external computer is used to programme the device. The functioning of the device can be monitored by the external computer and reprogrammed as needed.

It is a rather expensive procedure at present.

no cure but help and relief, positive results may be seen in about 2 months but this is a long_term treatment. Herbal treatment.
