Persuade parents to visit a doctor? |
I always seem to have extreme difficulty getting my parents to take me to a doctor, but most of the time I EVENTUALLY convince them. My parents just assume kids are the perfectly healthy ones and never need medical attention, but whatever. Anyways all the other times I was actually in physical pain which made them take me. This time I THINK I'm getting petit mal seizures. EVERYTHING fits the symptoms etc. They REFUSE to budge and they think I don't know what I am talking about because I have never mentioned my "spacing out" before. My brother Had petit mal seizures he would roll his eyes back into his head at first it wasnt evan a second it just looked like a blink I noticed this but no one else did by the time the docers found out what it was he was rolling his eyes back onto his head for over 3mins maybe longer he went from stright As in school and 3 months later he had all fs becasue he would just roll his eyes back into his head and miss eerything that was going on in school. You could talk to your teacher maybe if you feel you are spacing out in class tell her you are having trouble because you keep spacing out.And im sure she will go to ur parents and if that dosent work talk to a school nurse .and if that dosent work maybe document everytime you feel you are spacing out and this will show them that this is really a big concern for you.Goodluck I hope you get all this worked out. I would suggest speaking to your school nurse. She might be able to check you out and suggest seeing a doctor. She could probably also write a note to your parents. http://www.umm.edu/ency/article/000696.h... I can't believe your parents would be that callous to your medical problems. You probably cried wolf on them before, hence their current reaction. |
