Problem involving parents and the doctor. HELP!?

I have a problem down there and I think I should go to the doctor, but I feel embaressed telling the doctor with my parents in the same room watching! What should I do? I havn't told my parents of the problem because I am to embarresed to tell them and I want to get it checked out. I can make an excuse to go to the doctor for something else, but my parents will come with me! I just can't overcome the feeling of embarresment. Is there anything I can do to go to the doctor without my parents acompening me?

Just ask them when you get there, if you can see the doctor alone. If they object, tell them he will let them know if there is a problem they need to know about

Well you have a couple of options, tell your parents, they will surely be concerned and want to help. Or go to the doctor and then ask to speak with him in private.

Don't be embarrased, it could be nothing but if you are concerned then you need to have it looked at.

not knowing how old you are i can only tell you that you seem to be able to do things for your self... contact your Dr and make an app.... or contact your school nurse and see if she can help with your problem

Well, for starters, how old are you? You should never feel embarrassed about discussing things with your doctor. You should also tell your parents what your problem is and that you don't feel comfortable with them in the room while being examined. If you'll be straight and honest with them, they'll be more likely to trust you and give you more space. If you try to hide or lie about it, they'll think the worst and demand answers and want to be in there. Communication is key.

it would be best to tell your mother, there comes a time ina girls life when its time to make your mother a confidante. It may just be a infection and if so, your mother will completely underdstand. she should even let you see the doctor by yourself, she can wait in the lobby.

Thats what parents are there for to help you through life until you cna deal with life by yourself people have problems everyday dont be shame.....

Tell your mother.
Or get a friend to bring you to a clinic.

your parents can't legally be in the room with you without your consent once you hit 13. if they try and accompany you tell your doctor you want them removed. the age requirement might be different in your state than it is here so you may want to call your doc and double-check the age thing first.
