A parent smokes? |
I am 14 and one of my parents is chain smoker and whenever i talk to them about quiting they say theres no point because im going to die anyway and i usually end up crying. I have lost 2 really close family members because of it. Also i and my house reak of the smell i even try to avoid having friends over. Iv tried talking to the other parent but she/he doesnt do anything about it. whats the best way to get rid of the smell on me and wat do i do about the parent? Unfortunately there probably isn't anything you can do. Smoking is a terrible addiction, and a person has to REALLY want to stop - themselves - before they will be able to do so. Nagging just does not work and makes the person defensive and even less likely to change. Your other parent won't be able to do anything either. I'm sorry, but that's really the way it is. i think parents should smoke outside the house Report It Try Febreeze, it does wonders. About your parent challenge him or her they quit smoking and in return you quit a bad habit ex. loose weight, drinking pop, doing own laundry. So on. Good luck and remember you got to give a little to take a little. Hope everything works out for you. |
