My Parents have smoked since before I was born, now I have to take the concequences! What to do? |
Hi, I'm 15 years old and my parents smoke. Start leaving Quit Smoking brochures around. Tell them that second hand smoke is just as dangerous as smoking the cigarette yourself. If this doesn't work, tell them you are going to take them to court. That would be an interesting case. Child sues parents over second hand smoke. This really could work, look at all the cities that are banning smoking from restaurants, etc. It might even be a landmark case. Varicose veins have NOTHING to do with your parents smoking. Not sure where you got that idea but that did not cause them. Learn for their mistakes. I doubt seriously if your mother's smoking caused your varicose veins. They may well be heriditary. Your veins are the least of your worries with two parents who smoke. The consequence you should be worried about are the longterm effects of inhaling all that secondhand smoke. I'm very sorry you have to live in an environment like that. Move out of your parents house, get a lawyer and sue your parents for damages, collect the money and buy the best healing foods on earth that will regenerate your health so you can live a normal or better life. Get a lawyer and apply for early adulthood. DON'T SUE YOUR PARENTS!!!! Are you guys crazy? most of the ppl say to sue. What is wrong with america today? just keep talking to ur parents and I think that the previous guy is right. Leave signs around the house. :D Tell them to quit smoking! My friend used to hide her mom's cigarettes. (hide them in the trash can) your parents might get angry, though. It is really hard for smokers to quit. My dad quit when my older sister was 3, i came 5 years later, and it was just off of my mom's convincing (they don't have stop smoking programs in Bulgaria, most ppl smoke) My dad just decided to stop and he did. He used to smoke 1 pack a day and he said it wasn't hard to quit. weird. My mom said she once saw a 98 year old man who smoked at least 1 cigarette a day since he was 20. You might live long. Good Luck! |
