Parasitic Diseases? |
I've been reading and watching a lot about parasitic diseases. It seems like 1 out of 6 human beings are infected. I read about the symptoms but they sound like they can be confused with other illnesses. I've been to 3rd world countries and from my studies, that's where we get most of these parasites from. I know that it's hard to prevent yourself from being a host....it's not exactly what everyone is thinking about, it slips our minds. What should we do to find out if we're infected? There are internal parasites and external parasites. we should get chect by a doctor Diseases caused by protozoan and helminth parasites are among the leading causes of death and disease in tropical and subtropical regions of the world. Efforts to control the invertebrate vector (carrier, such as the mosquito) of these diseases are often difficult and no vaccines are currently licensed to prevent or control the spread of parasitic diseases Go to your local doctor and get x-rayed or get your intestines cleaned!!! Your doctor will tell you what to do from there! If you are not experiencing any symptoms the best thing to do is to get a stool sample. They are low cost and quick but not totally accurate because a small infection could be missed in the sample. They will visually inspect the stool under a microscope for little worms, eggs, etc. Also, many more than 1 out of 6 people is infected worldwide. Hookworms alone are thought to infect 800 million people worldwide (almost 1 in 6). Whenever you have symptoms of illness, get examined by your doctor. You won't know what the causative agent is, be it bacterial, viral, fungal or parasitic, until you do this. But you can't expect to get tested for parasitic infection if you have no symptoms unless you have a very good reason to suspect exposure. |

A CBC test is a Complete Blood Count. It will show the numbers of white blood cells, red blood cells, and other infection fighting cells, but it won't show how you got the infection or disease... That is SOOO bizarre!! And so sad, too. These women are suffering needlessly as people stand by and tell them they need psychiatric help. I hope this news story opens up a door that allows others ... its cool :) ...respiratory disease - common name is kennel cough ...No ... |
